Sex work isn’t for everyone, but Lydia Faithfull has chosen to make it her full time career. She's a sex worker that's opening up to the world about her business, which is one of the most personal ones out there. Aside from mastering her craft, she has also found a way to make it as enjoyable for herself as possible by refusing to fake an orgasm when it comes to her clients, a lesson we can all learn from. Keep reading to learn more about Lydia, her clients, and her very real orgasms she has with them.

Ranch. Lydia Faithfull works at a brothel in Nevada called the Love Ranch, a brothel famously known after NBA player Lamar Odom was found unconscious.

Brothel. The brothel is more like a spa than anything and is owned by Dennis Hof. The brothel employs many sex workers, Faithfull included.

Work. This isn’t Faithfull’s first job at a brothel however, but she admits that most brothel’s she’s worked at run pretty much the same way.
Client. “Prior to working for Dennis Hof, I held employment at another infamous Nevada brothel. They all operate the same way in that, when a potential client rings the doorbell, a second bell rings throughout the building to notify us that we have company, and it’s time to line up in the parlor to introduce ourselves,” writes Faithfull, via Broadly.

Business. From then, Faithfull writes that the client will then chose someone to show them around the facility, eventually getting down to business— both literally and metaphorically.

Negotiation. "The client then chooses a lady for a tour of the facility, ideally ending with a negotiation in her private suite,” writes Faitfull.
Unattractive. While Faithfull admits that there are definitely times when the client isn’t exactly attractive, these inevitable aspects of the job don’t seem to bother her, and sees her clients as nothing more than that.

Focus. "As result, physical appearance becomes of little importance. My primary focus has always been my own orgasm. Many of my contemporaries prefer faking one and would rather concentrate on getting their partner off,” writes Faithfull.

Needs. But for Faithfull, things are a little different. She makes sure that before even beginning to think about her client’s needs, she does everything in her power to see that her needs are met first.
Policy. "The plane is going down and my oxygen mask will be fastened first. Only after my toes curl will I consider attending to his needs. If my policy were any different, I would resent both the client and the work,” writes Faithfull.

Respect. As far as dealing with clients who won’t cooperate, Faithfull says she doesn’t have to worry about that, as she is rather selective when it comes to her clients, and makes sure to only take on ones who will respect her and her work.

Request. "The men who request me are typically cerebral types with a high level of emotional intelligence. I take pride in that and genuinely enjoy post-f*** laughter with a naked deep thinker,” writes Faithfull.
Process. Every once in a while however, Faithfull says she’s willing to negotiate with someone who doesn’t fit into her usual criteria, calling it a “vetting process.” However, she admits this isn’t too common as most clients know from the get go not to mess with her.

Pride. "My eyes, tone, and body language relay my disinterest perfectly, and he quickly recognizes that he's chosen the wrong woman. Pride prevents me from tolerating disrespect,” writes Faithfull, via Broadly.

Approach. Even if you are not involved with any sort of sex work, Faithfull’s advice and approach at sex is certainly a lesson we should all take notes on.
